South Suburban Golf Clubhouse

The South Suburban Golf Clubhouse is a renovation of an older clubhouse to better serve the public golfing community. Board input prioritized reusing the existing facility as a more sustainable approach. The primary design move was to move the dining room to face the golf course instead of the parking lot. The pro shop was then next to the parking lot to allow golfers a more direct check in experience. A prominent new main entry element was developed to easily identify where to go upon arrival. The kitchen was left in place but had extensive finish and plumbing upgrades to keep it in working order. The project also included a new pole barn constructed cart barn.

I was the Project Architect and a primary designer for the facility. I organized client workshops as well as taking on design of specific areas of the building. Worked closely with CM/GC to value engineer project into an acceptable budget. Lead planning approval process with local planning department.
